Turnaround Services for Rotating Machines

We offer an efficient Off-line turnaround service to give the insulation of your Rotating Machine a thorough health check. As a production-critical asset in your network, any unplanned outage of the rotating machine has huge cost implication on your business.

We can perform a series of quick, highly-sensitive Off-line tests during routine shutdowns, to help you prevent such costly failures. These tests can be scheduled at the commissioning stage or into planned outages on a regular basis to monitor the insulation condition over time, in order to develop an efficient Condition-Based maintenance plan. As a matter of fact, this saves you money by eliminating in-service failures.

PD testing is seen as best early warning indicator of the deterioration of the winding insulation
The measurements are sensitive to deterioration processes that can occur within the winding insulation
PD measurements feature the needed sensitivity to discover a localized defective areas from the developing stage.

TANGENT DELTA (TD)/ POWER FACTOR (PF)

This TD/PF is the type of testing is an accurate and non-destructive test that measures the losses in the winding insulation.
Monitoring the TD/PF measurements over time can provide a means of insulation assessment.
Similar to IR/PI measurements, TD/PF measurements are indicative of the insulation condition of the entire winding.

INSULATION RESISTANCE (IR) AND POLARIZATION INDEX (PI)

These measurements are among the most widely used tests for the evaluation of the insulation condition of the stator winding of rotating machinery.
A voltage is applied through the rotating machine windings for a minute in order to measure the condition of the insulation.
With over 80 years of applicability, these measurements are reliable and quick way to roughly assess the overall insulation condition of a rotating machine

Note: HFCT or HVCC sensor can be permanently installed for On-line monitoring during planned outage or turnaround maintenance.
