HVPD KRONOS SPOT TESTER is a six-channel synchronous, battery-powered test unit with a rugged and compact design optimized for field portability. Its quick and easy to set up in order to detect, measure, and locate Partial Discharge in second.

This device detects early stages of insulation deterioration before providing an early warning against MV and HV insulation faults and also supports condition-based maintenance scheme.

HVPD Kronos Ultimate Software:
This software contains all the tools needed for data acquisition, PD trends analysis and Phase Resolved Partial Discharge (PRPD) patterns as well as report generation.
In order to separate different PD sources from noise a range of data analysis tools are available within this ultimate software, including PD event recognition, pulse waveform clustering and machine learning.
SIX SYNCHRONOUS CHANNELS:
With synchronous acquisition on six sensors. the HVPD Spot Tester can be used to test multiple assets at once in addition to comparing data from different sensors.
TEST USING PRE-INSTALLED SENSORS:
Connection to any pre-installed PD couplers.
REFERENCE FREQUENCY SYNCHRONIZATION:
To synchronize the acquisition for analysis of PRPD patterns, multiple reference frequency sources are available including an integrated photodiode and mains field detector, Ac line supply and an external sensor input.
PD locations can be pinpointed along the length of power cables from one end of the cable (single ended) or with addition of the transponder at the far end of the (double ended).
Statistical PD pulse precedence detection enables PD locations in MV metalclad AIS by determining which sensor PD signals arrive at first.
The UHF converter expands the detection frequency range to allow detection of PD in using portable or permanent sensors and couplers in HV/EHV GIS and transformers.
OFFLINE PD TESTING:
For factory and site acceptance tests, the HVPD Kronos Spot Tester can be used for off-line testing with power frequency or resonant test sets.
Motor Current Signature Analysis Testing:
With Motor Current Signature Analysis (MCSA), the Spot Tester can analyze the rotor condition of the rotating machines to identify issues such as damaged rotor bars and eccentricity. MCSA testing is non-intrusive and is carried out by analyzing the frequency content of the 50/60 Hz current waveform.
SPOT TESTING AND SHORT-TERM MONITORING
The HVPD Kronos Ultimate software is installed in a laptop for spot testing or Portable Partial Discharge Monitoring Server (P-PDMS) for short term monitoring.
The Portable Server enables set-up of the monitoring session and data storage. Remote access to the system and cloud integration is possible via an optional modem.
